Ownership
The GhostCheck extension, website, source code, interface design, logo, graphics, and original written content are owned by GhostCheck and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or create a competing service from any protected part of GhostCheck without written permission.
Company names, public facts, and aggregate report counts are not owned by us as ideas or facts. What we do own is the original way we collect, arrange, present, explain, and display that material across the service.
What you cannot do
- Submit reports you did not personally experience.
- Name or attempt to identify individual employees in comments.
- Use the data to harass, threaten, or coordinate against any person or company.
- Scrape the site at volume without contacting us first.
- Resell aggregated data without a written agreement.
Reports are statements of personal experience
When you submit a report, you confirm it reflects your own honest experience. We moderate reports and may remove anything that looks retaliatory, defamatory, or fabricated. Repeated bad-faith submissions can lead to a permanent block.
Companies' rights
Named companies can request review of any individual report by emailing corrections@ghostcheck.net. We act on credible disputes promptly. We do not remove an entire page because someone dislikes the verdict; we remove specific reports that fail review.
No warranty
The data is provided as-is. We try to be accurate; we cannot guarantee a specific outcome for any application. Treat this as one input among several when you decide where to spend your time.
Termination
We can suspend accounts that violate these terms. You can delete yours at any time from the dashboard or by emailing us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service is registered. Disputes that cannot be resolved by discussion go to binding arbitration there.
